As you know, Anna Mårsell is living here in Switzerland and she happens to be in the same club, OLG Säuliamt, and also lives in the same town as I do, Bonstetten. So some time ago I met Anna and Niklas and we were also discussing about the nordic relays. They showed interest in me running for LOK in the future, and since I was not happy with my club until then, Tampereen Pyrintö, I thought, well, this is a good opportunity to start something new. I am 25 years old. I am a student in computer science at ETH Zürich, close to finished, I will do my diploma thesis next winter. As you know, we have WOC here in Switzerland in August, so this is my primary goal for this season. For this reason, I haven"t planned on going to Scandinavia much this year, so I was hesitating to contact Martin, but Anna "kept pushing" me... Well, now here I am. At the moment, I"m in the Swiss National B-Team. Last season wasn"t very good, although I participated in World Cups in Scandinavia and Czech Republic, but 30th place was the best I was able to do. In 2001, I was at World Champs in Tampere, where I was 25th in Classic Distance. As I have said, I was running for Tampereen Pyrintö the last couple of years, in 2000 I placed 9th on the first leg in Jukola, which was a really great experience! Of course, orienteering doesn"t stop after WOC2003, and a next goal is WOC2004. For that, it would be great to have a club to train and run competitions with. So I am really planning for next year in Sweden. As I have discussed with Martin, you will not see me much this year. For sure at Tiomila and some time before, and then probably for one or two weeks in autumn. I am looking forward to running in your team and I hope I can make a good contribution! See you at Tiomila, Denis ********************************************** Hi there !My name is Donatus Schnyder, I"m 26 years old and I have practised orienteering since I was 10 years old. After JWOC in Rumania 1996 (5th place in Classic, 3rd place in Relay) I got into the Swiss national team. My further results you can see at www.solv.deimos.ch Since then have I been several times in the scandinavien terrain...I have never been running nigth-orienteering in Sweden except for one time(Häxjakten 1999?) and I don"t like it very much, so I hope to get a day-leg at Tiomila... I grew up in the north-east part of Switzerland (20 km from the WOC-center Rapperswil/Jona) but now I live in Bern. Here I"m studying sport and geography. I"m glad to be in your team and I"m looking forward to Tiomila 2003 !!! see you, Donatus
